The dual master of arts in education and human development in the field of international education and graduate certificate in incorporating international perspectives in education (IIPE) program is designed for individuals who are entering or advancing in positions associated with training, education, adult learning, and development activities in diverse settings that require international and intercultural understanding. Students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to become informed and active scholar-practitioners in international education, with opportunities to specialize in international higher education, international education development, and global education. In addition, students acquire tools, methods, and habits of analysis that enable them to play a variety of roles as leaders and change agents. The addition of the IIPE certificate is designed to allow students to develop specialized knowledge of internationalization as it relates to school systems and the development of internationalized curriculum in K-12 settings.
The 12 credits earned in the graduate certificate may be counted toward requirements for the master’s degree. All requirements for both programs must be fulfilled.
