Applicants to this joint program must first be admitted to the GW MD program. Interested students apply for the joint program in their first semester in the MD program. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for admission. A statement of interest that outlines the student's knowledge of and/or experience in their selected field of study and briefly explains their reasons for pursuing the certificate, including how doing so will support their professional goals, is required.
The following requirements must be fulfilled: 15 credits in required courses. The 3 credits earned in HSCI 6297 Independent Study for Health Professionals are counted toward both programs.
