Offered jointly by the Departments of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the graduate certificate in shipbuilding management is designed to help students understand and implement naval architecture and marine engineering principles alongside modern management techniques within maritime organizations. The program is especially well-suited for working professionals in the maritime and naval industries who require specialized knowledge of shipyard processes, naval systems operation, and advanced manufacturing technologies. All courses are held in-person on GW's main campus in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, DC. Courses are typically held in the late afternoon or early evening to accommodate students' schedules.
