Minor in Biomedical Engineering

GW’s Biomedical Engineering program is an innovative field that takes advantage of the unique combination of resources and opportunities through connections with GW’s School of Medicine and Health Science and GWU Hospital. This program also has well-developed relationships with biotech industries and world-class laboratories in the D.C. metropolitan area. Students can choose from a broad range of disciplines such as biomechanics, electrical engineering, physiology, biology, and biotechnology. Students are well-prepared with what they learn in the classroom as well as with what they learn in specialty laboratories, internships, and design seminar. Whether students want to be a doctor, researcher, or clinician or work as a business partner to develop these technologies, the biomedical engineering degree will prepare students for their future career.
