|Prior academic records:
|Transcripts are required from all colleges and universities attended, whether or not credit was earned, the program was completed, or the credit appears as transfer credit on another transcript. Unofficial transcripts from all colleges and universities attended should be uploaded to your online application. Official transcripts are required only of applicants who are offered admission.
|Transcripts from institutions outside the United States must be accompanied by an official transcript evaluation from an accredited independent evaluating agency. Please be sure you request a detailed evaluation that includes all course titles, credit hours, grade-point average (GPA), United States degree equivalency, and date of degree conferral. |Statement of purpose:
|In your statement of purpose, please address the following in an essay of no more than 750 words (please avoid using bullets and numbers in responding, but demonstrate your writing skills in a coherent essay):
|(a) Rationale for seeking a degree in the field of educational administration and administration at GW;
|(b) Current knowledge, skills, and leadership experiences that contribute to the candidate’s readiness to assume an administrative role as an equity-centered leader;
|(c) Vision for serving as a leader who advocates and promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, and transformative practices in their school and communities.
|A resumé and an interview with a program advisor are required. A minimum of one year of teaching experience required.
