The Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies offers a dual bachelor of arts in women's, gender, and sexuality studies and master of arts in the field of women's, gender, and sexuality studies degree. Students in the dual program engage in critical debate on issues related to gender and sexuality studies and receive rigorous interdisciplinary training to provide a foundation for scholarly research and analysis. Students also specialize in a disciplinary or topical area of their choice. The program allows students to take up to 12 graduate credits as part of their undergraduate program, thereby decreasing the number of credits normally required for the master's degree. All requirements for both degrees must be fulfilled.
Students in the BA/MA program must complete one of the following:
- Master’s thesis
- Internship-based practicum and case study
- Practicum and independent research
