Master of Public Health (MPH@GW), Women, Youth, and Child Health Concentration

The MPH@GW concentration in women, youth, and child health is grounded in a life course perspective as an organizing framework that acknowledges distinct periods in human development and presents both risks and opportunities for interventions. Further, the academic program explores the subject from an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates the biological, demographic, epidemiological, developmental, environmental, behavioral, and social characteristics that are unique to the health and well-being of women, children, adolescents, and families in the United States and around the world.

The following requirements must be fulfilled: 45 credits including; 19 credits in core courses, including the culminating experience; 10 credits in program-specific courses; 13 credits in concentration-specific courses; and 3 credits in elective courses.
