Successful completion of comprehensive examination.
*The MEd in elementary education can be completed as a one-year program or a two-year program. CPED 6635 Professional Internship in Elementary Education is required for both programs and is taken for a total of 6 credits over two semesters.
Students who chose the one-year program start in the summer semester and register full-time throughout the program. Students pursuing the one-year program take CPED 6635 for 3 credits in their second semester of the program with an internship commitment of 25 hours per week; CPED 6635 is taken for an additional 3 credits in the third semester with an internship commitment of 35 hours per week.
Students who chose the two-year program start in the fall semester and take CPED 6635 for 3 credits in the fourth semester of the program with an internship commitment of 25 hours per week; CPED 6635 is taken for an additional 3 credits in the fifth semester with an internship commitment of 35 hours per week for students in the two-year program.
