Combined Programs, Philosophy and Public Policy

The Department of Philosophy offers a combined bachelor of arts in philosophy and master of arts in public policy with a concentration in philosophy and social policy degree program. Undergraduate students take a specified number of graduate credits as part of their degree program, thereby decreasing the number of credits normally required for the master's degree. Undergraduate students interested in the B.A./M.A. program should consult a departmental advisor as early in their program as possible. B.A. in philosophy (public affairs focus) majors may apply to the program upon completion of 12 credits in philosophy (PHIL) course work at the 1000-level or above, and must apply before completing 75 credits in the B.A. program.
