Joint Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration
The Elliott School of International Affairs cooperates with the School of Business in offering a program of study leading to the degrees of master of arts (M.A.) and master of business administration (M.B.A.) with a field of study in international business. The joint degree program is offered in all Elliott School M.A. fields, and the M.B.A. is taken with a focus on international business. The student must be accepted for admission by both the Elliott School and the School of Business. Applications should be made separately to each school, with a notice of interest in the combined program. Students may also apply for the joint degree program after they have begun either program.
As part of this program, each school accepts up to 12 credits of course work from the other school in fulfillment of its degree requirements. The joint program takes approximately three years of full-time study for completion. Joint degree students must meet all requirements for each program and apply for graduation from both schools prior to receiving either diploma. All work for this combined degree program must be completed in six years, unless an extension of time is granted by the respective deans.
