Students plan, implement, and present an individual, group, or faculty-designed research-based project. The final product should make defensible recommendations that can be showcased as the culminating experience of the student’s time in the program.
• To design and conduct an original research project in order to construct new knowledge • To develop skills in designing a discipline specific research methodology • To develop a working knowledge of relevant literature in leadership and related fields such as communication, education, ethics, management, psychology, and others (as approved) • To practice humanities and social scientific writing and learn how to participate in the peer review process • To be able to discuss theory and research with academics in one's field
