This course is designed to help students develop a broad foundation of naturalistic drawing using the unique offerings of Washington, D.C. Students draw nature onsite at places such as the U.S. Botanic Garden and the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Natural History Museum. The course is suitable for both artists with some experience and students wishing to develop a strong portfolio for admission to art school or graduate school. Professionals also can use the course as an opportunity to build on their skills.
