Practical and theoretical implications of social media; what it means to be social and how social media has changed how individuals interact and do business; birth and history of social media and why certain forms of social media flourish while others fail.
At the end of the course students will be able to 1) Know, define and understand the basic ideas, limitations and principles of social media 2) Measure and define social influence 3) Illustrate understanding of social media 4) Integrate social media into a communications strategy (email, web, print)
