AC power grids, transmission line parameters, load flow, economic dispatch voltage, frequency, and power flow control. Voltage, current, and power limitations. Fault analysis and stability considerations. Effect of independent power producers and variable energy sources and energy storage.
Analyze three phase ac circuits, both balanced & unbalanced, in an electrical power environment; estimate power, current & voltage limitations of transmission lines and synchronous generators; understand modern computer methods to the solution of electrical power system problems & economics.
