Introduction to project management concepts, processes, tools, and techniques; activity planning, budgeting, scheduling, analyzing risk, monitoring and controlling, evaluation and terminating; challenges of uncertainty, risk, and behavioral factors.
Understand and execute the key processes required for successful planning and execution of engineering projects, including activity planning, budgeting, scheduling, analyzing risk, monitoring and controlling, and evaluation and terminating. Understand the role of project management and its interfaces with systems engineering, uncertainty and risk analysis, organization structure and strategy, and human behavior. Apply project management techniques in planning and executing a project.
