Histopathology, cytopathology, etiology, diagnosis, staging, and treatment of benign and malignant disease processes of the female reproductive system.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have a thorough understanding of the morphogenesis of carcinoma, and the cellular changes associated with both premalignant and malignant changes in the cervix. They will also have an understanding of patient management and follow on therapy, as well as histology principles and techniques, cytoprepartory techniques and an introduction to cytology lab regulations, and ancillary methodologies.
