Linux-based introduction to traditional and contemporary attack tools and technologies used by threat actors. Constructing an effective computer network defense.
• Discuss the evolution of hacking and the groups that are currently most active (cybercriminals, hacktivists, nation-states, etc.) • Explain the traditional stages that attackers progress through when attempting to compromise a target • Identify and correct computer network vulnerabilities through penetration testing and hacking techniques • List, explain, install and configure the attack tools most frequently found in a hacker’s toolbox
