Foundations of patient management in surgical, pediatric, and emergency medicine.
Upon completion of this course, the first year Physician Assistant student will be able to:
1. Describe the essential components of surgery, pediatrics, and emergency medicine as they relate to patients in these given disciplines.
2. Formulate a differential diagnosis and management plan for common problems seen in the general surgery, pediatric and emergency medicine patient by applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology.
