This course is a continuation of Introduction to Botanical Drawing. In this exploration of the history, issues, and concepts of detailed plant drawings, students will use graphite and colored pencil. The course explores the close observation of form and the use of contemporary drawing sensibilities in the tradition of botanical illustration. Notable historical and contemporary artists of this genre will be discussed.
