The technology and politics associated with nuclear weapons. Strategy and deterrence, force planning and operations, and the prospect of nuclear terrorism.

Note: This course is identical to IAFF 6175 Nuclear Weapons which will be deactivated in spring 2015. The course number will be changing to house the course in the MAIA program rather than the SPS program.
Course Attribute

Students who have previously taken IAFF 6175 Nuclear Weapons will not be able to take IAFF 6106 Nuclear Weapons for credit towards their major.
