Introduction to writing television news scripts based on actual events. Using workshop techniques, scripts are evaluated for content, structure, and use of words, pictures, and sound. Extensive writing and rewriting using streaming video from professional newscasts. Includes a significant engagement in writing as a form of critical inquiry and scholarly expression to satisfy the WID requirement.
