Introduction to the literature of 20th century China through close reading and discussion of representative literary works from the era. All readings and class discussion are in Chinese. Graduate students taking CHIN 6179 will demonstrate their ability in conducting independent research by writing a 15-20 page research paper. Undergraduate students are allowed only by instructor approval.
