An integrative approach to strategic management; general manager's perspective, strategy formulation, implementation of strategy and policy, and evaluation and control of strategy in various types of organizations.
This course is designed to develop decision-making skills needed for successful strategy formulation and execution from the perspective of a CEO or General Manager. Objective: continuously create shared value. Strategies: creating value for, and with, multiple stakeholders which means learning about the organization’s impacts from others’ perspectives. Tactics: everyday decisions based on a variety of frameworks we will discuss regarding industry analysis, competitive analysis, financial analysis, and functional (HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance) analysis.
