Introduces the scientific basis of global health interventions and how they address proximal and underlying determinants of health. Successful students will obtain a strong technical grounding in the determinants, biology and pathogenesis of specific diseases, for which affordable tools for prevention, control, and case management exist and are in use in public health practice.
