This course exposes students to the theory and reality of both research and practice in environmental and occupational health. There is an emphasis on the use of public health science in policy and regulatory decisions.
• Explain the role of scientific, economic, and political interests in development and implementation of human health and environmental health policy; • Understand the role of public health research in informing public health decisions • Identify the interplay of disciplines necessary for effective public health practice
