Study of common experimental techniques used in life science laboratories to separate and characterize biological macromolecules. Laboratory fee.
1. Analyze protein mixtures using a variety of electrophoretic techniques (native PAGE, SDS-PAGE, IEF, Western blotting); 2. Purify a protein mixture containing β-galactosidase; 3. Quantitate proteins using the ELISA methodology; 4. Determine protein concentrations and various enzyme parameters using spectroscopy; 5. Design and carry out an experimental protocol to determine several enzyme properties.
