Continuation of SOC 2101.Statistical analysis of sociological data with a strong emphasis on computer applications.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: A. represent mathematical and statistical information symbolically, visually, and numerically B. articulate precise mathematical and statistical definitions and propositions and draw inferences from them C. use statistical calculations to solve problems D. interpret and explain information represented in mathematical forms, such as equations and tables E. identify statistical methods that are appropriate for different types of data and for different research questions F. analyze quantitative data using statistical software
