The law of procuring, forming, and executing government contracts, including drafting and litigation; competition requirements, contract changes, and contract terminations; researching and drafting documents common to a government contracts practice.
Understand the federal procurement process, from acquisition planning to contract termination and closeout. Understand and differentiate between private contracting and government contracting, including how the Changes clause and the Termination for Convenience clause operate in a government contract. Research and utilize the Bluebook properly cite to common sources of government contracts law, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Draft documents essential to a government contracts practice, such as Contract Disputes Act claims and Government Accountability Office bid protests.
