Blood and blood-forming tissues with emphasis on hematologic techniques and cell identification; anemias and non-malignant leukocyte disorders are also presented. Proctor fee.
1. Discuss hematopoiesis and identify all stages of hematopoietic cellular development.

2. Describe the routine procedures performed in the hematology laboratory and discuss their interpretation, limitations and sources of error..

3. Correlate patient data to characterize common anemias and non-malignant leukocyte disorders.
