Prepares students for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) personal trainer certification examination and to become effective personal trainers. Presents the ACE Integrated Fitness Training (ACE IFT) Model as a comprehensive system for designing individualized programs based on each client’s unique health, fitness, and goals.
1. Learn scope of practice, and professional responsibilities of a Personal Trainer 2. Know fundamentals of exercise kinesiology, physiology, anatomy, and nutrition 3. Learn basic exercises and how to design and appropriate workout program and progression 4. Know methods of rapport building and health psychology behind encouraging clients 5. Be able to perform an entire PT assessment and session
