Continuation of ARAB 1201. Fundamentals of speaking, listening, reading, and writing of Arabic in culturally and linguistically appropriate contexts.
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to perform the following language functions: -narrate events in the past, present, and future -express preferences and opinions -describe places and locations -speak about groups of people and things -describe family relationships -begin to recognize relationships of meaning and grammatical function among groups of related words -use an Arabic-English dictionary effectively -begin to employ the formal style of reading and public speaking -express conditions
