This introductory course connects theory in community organizing and social justice with the opportunity to explore how it is applied directly in the field. Students will critically examine the methods used by non-profit organizations and campaigns to address contemporary issues in Human Services, as well as engage in organizing activities in the field. Readings, critical observations and fieldwork. (Fall and Spring)
