Organization and preparation of construction documents; methods and materials; and application of codes. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building systems as related to function and design of interior spaces.
At the end of the course students will have:
• Understanding of design with an awareness of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, voice/data, lighting, ceiling, floor security, and systems furniture)
• Experience with drafting construction documents
• Knowledge of interior products and materials
• Experience with codes, laws, standards and regulations to protect health, safety and welfare of the public
