Overview of 20th and 21st century architecture, interiors, and furniture of significant and unique houses and smaller commercial buildings. Students may not earn credit for both IAD 3405 and IAD 1000 if similar material is covered.
At the end of this course students should be able to: Identify the stylistic movements in 20th/21st century architecture and interior design. st Be able to interpret concepts and design principles for key buildings and interiors of 20th/21 Develop the ability to critique architectural spaces and understand their context. Comprehend individual elements of 20th/21st century architecture including structure, material, space, and form.
