An introduction to the dynamic relationship between society and the physical environment, with focus on population, natural resources, environmental degradation, pollution, and conservation.
1. Describe scientific and policy dimensions of environmental change. 2. Identify major sources of human impacts upon the environment throughout history. 3. Know how key decision-making constructs shape environmental stewardship. 4. Critically analyze how policy is created and implemented to promote sustainability. 5. Work collaboratively with others by participating in problem-solving and decision-making situations.
