Learning Objectives - students will be able to: • address the need for professionally skilled private wealth managers and personal financial advisors, directed at students from multiple concentrations (finance, accounting, law, marketing, human resources) who want to enter this field or consider it as a career path. • be knowlegible in the component areas of PWM/PFA: income and estate taxation, retirement plans and pensions, life and disability insurance, and investment portfolio management. • develop, interpret, and present personal financial plans to private wealth management clients. • provide approaches for marketing, building, and operating a PWM/PFA practice as well as motivating clients. • develop broad and deep understanding of their own personal finances.
