Formulation and analysis of linear, integer, and nonlinear optimization models of decision problems that arise in industry, business, and government; modeling techniques and applications; use of optimization software to formulate and solve models.
Students who complete this course will be able to • formulate mathematical models of systems engineering and management optimization decision problems; •solve optimization problems and perform sensitivity analysis using state of the art optimization software packages; • present the findings and implications of their optimization models results.
