Basic concepts of modeling of random phenomena in electrical and computer systems: probability framework, stationarity, linear filtering. Optimization of discrete and continuous stochastic processes. Elements of performance analysis.
Understand the basic concept and principles of modeling using probabilities, random
variables and processes; use mathematical tools to do probabilistic modeling and analysis relevant for engineering applications; find design parameters of engineering systems that satisfy specified probabilistic requirements.
