Mobile agents, wireless Web, WAP, WEP, peer-to-peer computing; secure routing; intrusion detection and authentication on wireless networks; security for handheld devices; encryption and cryptographic measures for wireless; real-time wireless security; security measures for embedded devices.
By the end of this course students should be able to:

identify the issues involved in securing a wireless and mobile system;
detect various attacks to wireless and mobile systems;
know of various ways wireless systems can be attacked;
protect a wireless and mobile system by employing state-of-the-art knowledge;
know how privacy leakage can impact on daily lives;
protect privacy in a mobile world.
