An introduction to the use of a variety of printmaking media, connecting their use to the mainstream of contemporary artistic practice. Etching, lithography, screen print, and relief printing. Printmaking's multi-faceted relationships to photography, sculpture, painting, and other media.
LEARNING OUTCOMES As a result of completing this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand and apply a range of techniques for creating prints in Lithography, Woodcut, Etching and screenprinting and to understand their differences and applications. 2. Ability to discuss art making process and expand on previously learned technical and esthetic solutions. 3. Ability to create a working environment for producing professional quality prints.
