Law of contracts, construction contracts, specifications, bidding, insurance and bonds, professional liability, arbitration of disputes, litigation. Includes a significant engagement in writing as a form of critical inquiry and scholarly expression to satisfy the WID requirement.
Understand development, surveillance and enforcement of contracts and identify roles and responsibilities of all concerned parties. Become familiar with contract language and be able to communicate the owner requirements and limitations through contract clauses. Ability to develop contract sections and clauses.
