Original advanced research of a particular topic or theme in decorative arts and design that results in an annotated scholarly paper. Includes a thesis defense. May be repeated for credit.
After completing a thesis, the student will be able to :

-State and defend a thesis with adequate attention to analysis and evidence

-Incorporate and document primary and secondary sources correctly and appropriately

-Demonstrate knowledge of relevant literature in decorative arts and design history

-Situate disciplinary subject matter within its historical context
