The Dean’s Seminars provide Columbian College first-year students focused scholarship on specific intellectual challenges. Topics vary by semester. See the department for more details.
At the end of this course students should be able to:
o Identify, analyze, and evaluate concepts and ideas pertaining to architecture.
o Understand and critically evaluate exteriors and interior spaces through research, site visits, and the study of floor plans/elevations/sections of buildings.
o Formulate a logical argument on the basis of the analysis that expresses how the building selected compares/contrasts with a different building by the architect or one studied in class.
