Terminology, concepts, and principles of lighting design; acoustic principles as they relate to building design.
As a result of completing this course, students will be able to:
- The ability to manipulate interior spaces using light and its effects on interior finishes.
- Experience using lighting terminology and basic lighting calculations.
- The ability to create lighting and reflected ceiling plans.
- Practice using current lighting resources and references.
- Appraise the Lighting Designer’s role in the interior design process.
- Develop an attitude of orderly processes for creating an office RCP
- Appraise lighting systems in a variety of ceiling systems, and
- Communicate graphically using standard lighting symbols and legends
