Introduction to the theory and application of design principles and elements in the built environment and to two- and three-dimensional projects; understanding the design process while adhering to a concept or parti.
At the end of this course students should be able to:
o apply the principles and elements of design in two and three dimensions
o defend and use a basic design concept for a project
o construct two and three dimensional projects to communicate design issues to others
o assess and engage in critical discourse of design work
o evaluate the design process by posing critical questions prior to the start of any project
