Principles of project management in construction industry. Elements of project management such as structural organization, planning, scheduling, communications, bidding, change orders, contractual relationship, and labor relations and related activities in construction.
As a result of completing this course, students will be able to describe:
• Project management structure
• Project management software tools
• Project planning and schedule
• Communication and information sharing
• Mechanisms of material/equipment delivery and tracking on a job site
• Project communication and tracking management systems
• Management of change orders within construction contracts
• Design document control/management
• Activities and documents for the project closeout phase
