Data mining techniques for structured and unstructured data; pattern discovery, text mining and natural language processing, cluster and sentiment analysis, and web scarping and analytics.
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
• Manage and explore large data sets by using various data mining techniques such as text mining and web scraping
• Gain practical experience in working with advanced analytical tools in Python and R
• Apply data mining methods to clean and organize data, and to perform cluster, association or classification analysis
• Develop critical thinking skills and practice oral communication skills
