Methods of assessing dietary intakes, physical activity, anthropometry, body composition, and micronutrient status of individuals; factors affecting selection, reliability, and interpretation of various assessment methods in public health settings.
1. To describe common methods of assessing dietary intakes, physical activity, anthropometry, body composition and biochemical indicators of nutritional status among individuals.
2. To describe the rationale, advantages and disadvantages of various methods for nutritional assessment.
3. To conduct assessment of physical activity, dietary intake, and anthropometry data.
4. Analyze, interpret nutritional status data and be able to summarize findings in an abstract and power-point presentation.
