Handheld, touchscreen devices as a new medium for telling stories, enhancing communication, and creating relationships. Projects combine text, images, sound, video, and interactivity. Prototyping, visual publishing tools, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) and Adobe InDesign.
Students will gain fluency in: − Designing interaction, page layouts, and type for mobile applications and multi-screen websites − Creating narratives on small-screen publications − Discussing the social effects and potential of mobile computing − Evaluating mobile and multi-screen products for usability and accessibility − Students will also become proficient at: − Applying user-centered design methods Ramos / 3.2 − Building paper and electronic prototypes − Building HTML/CSS-based responsive websites − Producing Projects in Adobe Digital Publishing Suite
