The operating rules, customs, and processes by which laws are enacted and regulations written in countries around the world; governance systems and the realm of influencers; systems within which legislators, administrators, bureaucracies, and stakeholder’s work.
At the end of this course students will be able to:

1. distinguish between the different types and groupings of governance used by states.
2. independently assess the conduct of politics, policy and procedure in each environment.
3. assist those who must deal with the dilemmas posed by choosing or defending in one environment over another.
4. translate actions in one environment to those in another environment.
5. offer advice and counsel to those who must advocate in multiple global environments.

Course Attribute

This course is replacing PSAD 6260 because the M.P.S. in Advocacy in the Global Environment program is being phased out. It will be offered as an elective in the Political Management M.P.S. program.
